I found this whole story to be entrancing. The before and after sections were perfect, and really helped develop the characters. All-in-all a fantastic debut novel with an amazing lead character. (view spoiler)
I'd like to add I received this copy free, pre-publish, via NetGalley, not having read any reviews, just the editors notes, but to any men scared/put off by the feminism or feminist tag, please don't be. Dystopian had me requesting the book, and I'm so glad I did. If you can watch a film or TV show with strong female lead, then this is not gonna scare you off my friend.
